Splinter (noun) ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کرنا، پارہ پارہ ہونا

a small, thin, sharp piece of wood, glass, or similar material broken off from a larger piece.
Example: “a splinter of ice”
Synonyms: sliver, shiver, chip, shard, needle, fragment, piece, bit, shred, spell, spillikin
Antonyms: chunk, hunk, lump, slab


Barely (adverb) مشکل سے، عریاں طور پر ، صرف

only just; almost not.
Example: “she nodded, barely able to speak”
Synonyms: hardly, scarcely, just, only just, narrowly, by the skin of one’s teeth, by a hair’s breadth
Antonyms: easily


Offhand (adjective) تیاری کے بغیر، سرسری، بے ساختہ

ungraciously or offensively nonchalant or cool in manner.
Example: “you were a bit offhand with her this afternoon”
Synonyms: indifferent, casual, careless, uninterested, unconcerned, cool, distant, aloof, nonchalant

Cursory (adjective) لاپرواہ، برائے نام، سرسری

Noxious (adjective) مضر، صحت کے لئے نقصان دہ، فاسد

Antonyms: innocuous, safe, pleasant


Outrageous (adjective) ہیبت ناک، خوفناک، غضب آلود

shockingly bad or excessive.
Example: “an outrageous act of bribery”
Synonyms: shocking, disgraceful, scandalous, atrocious, appalling, abhorrent, monstrous
Antonyms: acceptable, mild, moderate


Stringent (adjective) بہت سخت، شدید

(of regulations, requirements, or conditions) strict, precise, and exacting.
Example: “stringent guidelines on air pollution”
Synonyms: strict, firm, rigid, rigorous, severe, harsh, tough, tight, exacting, demanding
Antonyms: lenient, flexible
