The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday extended the deadline for the filing of nomination papers for the upcoming general polls by two days.
The decision was made just hours before the original deadline was set to expire In a press release issued on Friday, the electoral watchdog announced that nomination papers can now be filed till Dec 24 (Sunday), but made it clear that the previously announced polling date would remain unchanged
