1. Electoral gender gap falls below 10m after a decade

As the number of voters across Pakistan swells to over 128 million per the latest statistics, the electoral gender gap for the first time in a decade has reduced to less than 10 million, with at least 59.32 million women (46.13pc) registered as voters compared to 69.26 million men (53.87pc).
An analysis of the data by Dawn showed that out of the total gender gap of 9.94m, Punjab contributes a although men still outnumber women by a considerable margin in terms of registered voters, the gap between the two genders has fallen below 10m.-ECP data difference of over five million, followed by Sindh (2.24m), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (1.96m), and Balochistan (0.660m). The total number of registered voters in Punjab stands at 73.20m, including 39.12m (53.44pc) male and 34.09m (46.56pc) female voters

4. Bulldozers crush Gazans sheltering outside hospital

The Israeli military has bulldozed displaced Palestinians who were camped outside the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, killing scores of civilians, including women and children, who were still sleeping in their tents when the demolition occurred.

6. South Korea military says North fires ballistic missile

North Korea fired a ballistic missile on Sunday, Seoul`s military said, as the United States and South Korea warned any nuclear attack would lead to the end of Pyongyang`s regime.

9. Seven killed by Syrian army in rebel bastion

Seven civilians were killed and six others injured on Sunday during bombardments by the Syrian army in the last major rebel stronghold in the northwest, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
`Regime forces committed a massacre by directly targeting residential areas, using artillery shells and rocket launchers in Darat Izza, Aleppo province,` said the Britain-based war monitor, which relies on a network of sources in the country. `At least five civilians were killed in Darat Izza, and two other civilians in the locality of Abzimou` in the same province, it added
