What is SAARC:
SAARC stands for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation. It is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising the countries of South Asia, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The organization was established in 1985 with the goal of promoting economic, social, and cultural cooperation among its member states. SAARC has been relatively inactive in recent years, with many of its activities having been suspended or limited due to political tensions among its member states.
