6. Russia steps up Kyiv strikes, civilians flee Mariupol

• Russia stepped up its bombardment of Kyiv on March 15, 2022, smashing apartments and a subway station, while civilians in 2,000 cars fled Mariupol along a humanitarian corridor in what was believed to be the biggest evacuation yet from the desperately besieged seaport.

• Its government is looking to cut a spiralling energy bill after oil prices surged in the wake of the conflict, at the same time as a Washington embargo prompts other potential buyers to shun Russian oil

• Israeli troops killed two Palestinians in separate shootings in the occupied West Bank on March 15, 2022, the latest in a flurry of deadly clashes as a US envoy tours the region seeking to ease tensions.
• A 16-year-old died in an exchange of fire with troops carrying out an arrest raid outside the northern city of Nablus, the Palestinian health ministry and Israeli security forces said.
• Separately, a Palestinian in his 20s was killed in Qalandia outside Jerusalem, the health ministry said


10. Russia says it has secured US guarantees on Iran N-deal

• Russia`s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on March 15, 2022 that Moscow had received guarantees from Washington on its ability to trade with Tehran as part of ongoing talks to salvage the Iran nuclear deal.
• `We received written guarantees.
• They are included in the text of the agreement itself on the resumption of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear programme, Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow with Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
• More than 10 months of talks in Vienna have brought major powers close to renewing the landmark 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on regulating Iran`s nuclear programme
