6. `Sitara-i-Imtiaz to be conferred on journalist Ziauddin`

• The government will confer posthumous Sitara-i-Imtiaz on veteran journalist Mohammad Ziauddin for his contribution in the field of journalism.
• Besides, a chair will also be set up at the Centre of Excellence for Journalism in IBA Karachi in his honour, said Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal.

8. Qatar announces first major gas deal for Germany

• Qatar on November 29, 2022 announced its first major deal to send liquefied natural gas to Germany as Europe scrambles to find alternatives to Russian energy sources.
• Qatar`s Energy Minister Saad Sherida al-Kaabi said up to two million tons of gas a year would be sent for at least 15 years from 2026, and that state-run Qatar Energy was discussing other possible deals for Europe`s biggest economy.
• Kaabi, who is also QatarEnergy`s chief executive, said so many European and Asian countries now want natural gas that he did not have enough negotiators to cope.

• Fewer than half of people in England and Wales identify as Christian, according to census data released on November 29, 2022, underlining a landmark shift towards secularism in multicultural Britain.
