Offence (noun) جرم، جارح ، ضرر

a breach of a law or rule; an illegal act.
Example: “the new offence of obtaining property by deception”
Synonyms: crime, illegal/unlawful act, misdemeanour, felony, wrongdoing, wrong, act of misconduct
Antonyms: noncrime


Retaliation (noun) جوابی کارروائی، انتقام، بدلہ، جزا دینا

the action of returning a military attack; counter-attack.
Example: “the bombings are believed to be in retaliation for the trial of 15 suspects”
Synonyms: revenge, vengeance, reprisal, retribution, requital, recrimination, getting even, redress
Antonyms: pardon, condonation, forgiveness


Notorious (adjective) بدنام، معروف، مشہور

famous or well known, typically for some bad quality or deed.
Example: “Lahore is notorious for its smog”
Synonyms: infamous, of ill repute, with a bad reputation/name, ill-famed, scandalous, well known
Antonyms: unknown, anonymous, faceless


Hardened (adjective) سخت کیا ہوا، بے حس

very experienced in a particular job or activity and therefore not easily upset by its more unpleasant aspects.
Example: “hardened police officers”
Synonyms: inured, desensitized, deadened, accustomed, habituated, acclimatized, used
Antonyms: unaccustomed
