6. Iran unveils its latest attack drone

Iran unveiled on Tuesday its latest domestically built drone that can fly at a higher altitude and for a longer duration with enhanced weapons capabilities, state media reported.
The `Mohajer-10` drone was introduced at a ceremony in Tehran attended by President Ebrahim Raisi, celebrating the achievements of Iran`s defence industry.
The new drone is an upgraded version of the `Mohajer-6`, which US officials have accused Iran of selling to Russia for use in the Ukraine war an accusation Tehran denies


7. UK believes Ukraine destroyed N-capable Russian bomber

British military intelligence said on Tuesday that a weekend drone attack on an airfield deep inside Russia which Moscow blamed on Ukraine is highly likely to have destroyed a nuclear capable TU-22M3 supersonic long-range bomber.
Kyiv, which on Monday claimed to have attacked another Russian military airfield, says Russia has used the TU-22M3 to bomb targets across Ukraine with conventional munitions. Western military experts believe Russia has around 60 of the aircraft.The destruction of the plane, which can be fitted with conventional or nuclear warheads, underscores the vulnerability to drone attack of Russia`s fleet of ageing but lethal long-range bombers that are a major part of Moscow`s war effort


8. US approves maternal vaccine to prevent RSV in infants

The United States on Monday became the first country to approve a vaccine for pregnant women that prevents severe disease caused by Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) in their babies.
The Pfizer shot, which was already approved for use in older adults, has now been greenlighted for use as a single injection from 32 through 36 weeks of pregnancy, to protect infants from birth through six months, a statement by the Food and Drug Administration said.


9. Thailand`s ex-PM Thaksin jailed on return from exile

Former Thai leader Thaksin Shinawatra returned from 15 years in exile on Tuesday and was immediately jailed, but his time behind bars could be cut short with his party on the cusp of winning back power.
The divisive billionaire landed in a private jet at Bangkok`s Don Mueang airport at 9am (0200 GMT), to be greeted by hundreds of noisy `Red Shirt` supporters waving banners and singing songs

10. Fiery Haris leads Pakistan`s rout of Afghanistan in first ODI

Fast bowler Haris Rauf led a pace assault on Afghanistan with a career-best five-wicket haul to give Pakistan a thumping 142-run victory in the first One-day International in Sri Lanka`s Hambantota on Tuesday.
Haris` fiery 5-18 condemned Afghanistan to their second-lowest ODI total of 59 as they were bowled out inside 20 overs after Pakistan made 201.
The victory gives Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the three-match series the first bilateral ODI meeting between the two nations with the remaining matches in Colombo on Thursday and Saturday
