- In light of protests against inflated electricity bills, the energy ministry has finalised a list of proposals to provide relief to the inflation-hit populace, which would be presented in a meeting of the federal cabinet for approval, said interim Information Minister Murtaza Solangi on Monday.

4. Mardan varsity offers scholarships to Afghan female students\

5. Libyan PM sacks FM after storm over Israel meeting
- Libya`s prime minister sacked the foreign minister on Monday in an effort to contain a growing furore over Najla Mangoush`s meeting with her Israeli counterpart last week, which prompted protests in several Libyan cities.
- Mangoush had said her meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen in Rome was unplanned and informal, but an Israeli official said it had lasted two hours and was approved `at the highest levels in Libya`

6. Ukraine claims retaking town, eyes gains in south
- Ukraine said on Monday its troops had liberated the south-eastern settlement of Robotyne and were trying to push further south in their counteroffensive against Russian forces.
- The Ukrainian military said last week that its forces had raised the national flag in the strategic settlement, but were still carrying out mopping-up operations.
- Ukrainian forces believe they have broken through the most difficult line of Russian defences in the south and that they will now start advancing more quickly, a commander who led troops into Robotyne said last week
7. Syrian airport closed after Israeli strikes

8. Iran warns Iraq to disarm Kurdish rebels
- Iran on Monday warned Iraq that it would take action if Baghdad does not honour its commitment by mid-September to disarm Iranian Kurdish rebel groups on its territory.
- `According to a deal reached between the Iranian and Iraqi governments, the Iraqi government has pledged to disarm armed terrorist groups in Iraq by September 19, Iran`s foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani told a news conference.
- `The September 19 deadline will under no circumstances be extended,` Kanani said
9. UK air traffic glitch causes flight delays across Europe
- Britain`s National Air Traffic Service (NATS) was hit by a technical problem for several hours on Monday, causing widespread disruption to flights using UK airspace that airlines and airports said would continue for some time despite the issue being fixed.
- NATS had earlier had to restrict the flow of aircraft after the issue affected its system`s ability to automatically process flight plans, withairlines and airports warning of delays and cancellations
10. US raises concerns over China curbs on American businesses
- US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo discussed concerns about restrictions on American businesses including Intel and Micron with Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao on Monday in a meeting where the two countries also agreed to launch an export control enforcement information dialogue.
- The pair also discussed China`s restrictions on gallium and germanium exports in wide-ranging and candid talks that lasted more than two hours, followed by a two-hour lunch, according to brief com-ments from Raimondo and the Commerce Department
