1. ECP to unveil poll schedule next week
With the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) all set to unveil schedule for the Feb 8 polls next week, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja on Thursday said printing and delivery of final electoral rolls had successfully been completed.
Talking to Dawn, a senior official said the schedule would most probably be announced on Dec 14. At the same time, he added, district returning officers (DROs), returning officers (ROs), and assistant returning officers (AROs) would also be appointed
2. Quetta hosts UN Women`s campaign

3. Commissioner orders strict implementation of ban No smoking in govt offices, public places
Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa has ordered strict implementation of a ban on smoking in all government offices and public places.
He made the announcement at an official meeting here on Thursday.
First of all, heads of all departments will nominate a focal person and two master trainers (of their department) at the divisional level, who will be trained in ensuring a smoke-free city

A World Bank report has pointed out that eight in 10 people in Pakistan are concerned about impacts of climate change, with female and educated people being more concerned.
The report titled, Climate Silence in Pakistan, has observed that climate change has profoundly affected Pakistan, manifesting in altered weather patterns and devastating floods
5. SBP forex reserves fall $237m in a week
The State Bank`s foreign exchange reserves dropped by $237 million to $7 billion in the week ending Dec 1, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday, as debt servicing on foreign loans continues to eat up SBP`s holdings.
The country`s total liquid foreign reserves stood at $12.1bn, including $5.09bn held by commercial banks, the central bank said. The SBP has now lost more than $1.7bn since mid-July
