6. No functional hospitals left in northern Gaza: WHO
There are no longer any functional hospitals in the north of the Gaza Strip, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said Thursday, describing `unbearable` scenes of largely abandoned patients begging for food and water.
The UN health agency said it had led missions to two badly damaged hospitals, Al Shifa and Al Ahli, in the north of the Palestinian territory on Wednesday.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un warned Pyongyang will not hesitate to launch a nuclear attack if `provoked with nukes`, state media said on Thursday, while Seoul and its allies called for `dialogue without preconditions`.

8. Three Indian soldiers killed in held Kashmir
Three soldiers were killed in held Kashmir during a gun battle in the occupied territory, the Indian army said on Thursday.
Two army vehicles were conducting an operation in Rajouri district south of Srinagar, the region`s biggest city, when they were fired upon by fighters, a defence spokesperson said.
`Troops sustained three fatal and three non-fatal casualties,` the spokesperson added
9. UNSC tweaking draft to avoid veto
After a week of closed-door negotiations at the 15-member UN Security Council, ambassadors are still deliberating over a draft resolution proposed by the United Arab Emirates. The resolution calls for an `urgent suspension` of the conflict in the Gaza Strip to facilitate the safe and unhindered delivery of aid to civilians in need.
The previous draft, vetoed by the US on Dec. 8, prompted a swift response in the UN General Assembly. Four days later, member states voted overwhelmingly in favour of a non-binding resolution, urging an immediate humanitarian ceasefire

Zimbabwe Cricket said Thursday that two national players had been suspended for `recreational drug use`.
`The concerned players, Wesley Madhevere and Brandon Mavuta, both tested positive for a banned recreational drug in an out-of-competition case recorded during a recent in-house doping test,` the board said in a statement
