6. Thousands flee Gaza`s north in `forced` displacement

Thousands of Palestinian civilians trudged in a forlorn procession out of the north of Gaza on Wednesday seeking refuge from Israeli air strikes and artillery barrage.
The exodus took place in a four-hour `window of opportunity` announced by Israel, which has told residents to evacuate the north, encircled by its forces, or risk being trapped in the heavily bombarded territory.

7. US House censures Rashida Tlaib over anti-Israel remarks

The US House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to censure Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian-American in Congress, over her anti-Israel remarks, US media reported.
The Democrat was censured by Republicans and some members of her own party in a resolution that passed by 234 votes to 188.
The resolution said Tlaib was promoting `false narratives` regarding the Oct 7 raid, and `for calling for the destruction of the state of Israel.` The censure identified a series of statements made by Tlaib, including a video posted on social media in whichshe accuses President Joe Biden of supporting what she described as the `genocide` of Palestinians and calling on him to back a ceasefire, according to the text of the motion


8. Belgian dy PM seeks sanctions on Israel

Belgium`s deputy prime minister called on the Belgian government on Wednesday to adopt sanctions against Israel and investigate the bombings of hospitals and refugee camps in Gaza.
`It is time for sanctions against Israel.
The rain of bombs is inhumane,` deputy prime minister Petra De Sutter told Nieuwsblad newspaper. It is clear that Israel does not care about the international demands for a ceasefire, she said

Beijing is ready to hold talks with the United States at `all levels`, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng said on Wednesday, ahead of expected summit in San Francisco between leaders Xi Jinping and Joe Biden as they seek to stabilise tense ties by meeting in-person for just the second time in nearly three years.
The summit on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum follows a six-month US push to engage its geopolitical rival, including through several unreciprocated cabinet-level visits, and recover from a diplomatic crisis over the US downing of an alleged Chinese spy balloon in February
