Understanding the South China Sea Dispute

The South China Sea (SCS)– one of the most strategically critical maritime territories globally- has become an apple of discord between the People’s Republic of China and its neighbours, including Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam. On the one hand, China and Taiwan claim to be the region’s owners on a historical nine-dash line basis, covering more than eighty per cent of the SCS; however, other countries’ claims are Under the Law of the Sea Convention UNCLOS, on the other hand. According to the UNCLOS Act Article:55, all states have a right of 200 nautical miles of “exclusive economic zone (EEZ)” to exploit the sea and seabed resources, as measured from their land territories. Where these zones overlap, countries are obliged to negotiate with other claimants. Nonetheless, despite being one of the significant endorsers of UNCLOS, China has started ramping up its military presence and accelerating construction on disputed desert islands. Ironically, the SCS- with multiple natural resources, lucrative fishing opportunities, and a major shipping route across the world- is equally important for the superpower- the US, regardless of its considerable distance of 10,000 kilometres from China. Therefore, the United States has also stepped up its military existence in the region, including freedom of navigation operations to challenge China’s hegemony in islands or resource zones. For this purpose, it has established QUAD- Quadrilateral Security Dialogue- with Japan, India, and Australia to ensure freedom of navigation and a liberal trading system. Moreover, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is also trying to negotiate the thorny dispute. It is believed that if the matter would not settled peacefully, it would lead the world to a bare-knuckle war.

Crucifying Act in Society

Harassment in the workforce and recreational places has been entrenched in the history of Pakistan since its inception. A large number of migrants were harassed, molested, raped, and even killed brutally .

While Pakistan was being liberated from the clutches of Hindus on 14th August 1947, the aim of battling for this land was to overshadow the influence of pagans on Muslim society. The charismatic personality; Quaid-e-Azam, devoted his youth to infuse a new spirit of patriotism and vigour in the dormant bodies of the Muslims. The day of 14th August is usually celebrated with zeal and zest; patriotic display in formal and non-formal institutions, public and private places can be seen extensively. But what is the use of such chauvinist display?

CSS & PMS: The best English teachers in Pakistan

CSS essay has become a dilemma for over a decade, now for almost every aspirant. The recent CSS 2020 result has shown it clearly that CSS has been carved out as a business. As you enter the fish market, you see hawkers bidding you their seafood at different rates for its quality, so has the CSS coaching been taking over all the social media platforms. The lust of money, accompanied by the access of technology, has made rank and file for their self-proclamation of CSS guides and mentors. Each year, more than twenty thousand competitive aspirants apply for the civil services exam (CSS) in Pakistan. Out of fourteen to fifteen thousand applicants, who appear in the exam, nearly 2 per cent of them qualify for the written part. This 2 per cent comprises of 250 to 350 aspirants who walk towards civil services academy (CSA). Do you know why only 2 per cent of them satiate their desire? The Best English Teacher for CSS / PMS

Either it is CSS, PMS, or GRE, GAT, GMAT exams, English Grammar has become bone of the contention for competitive students. The CSS / PMS subjects of English Essay and Precis are considered as the toughest subjects. Each student is in pursuit of finding the best mentor for himself. There is a huge number of experienced teachers across the country for English, but the basic hurdle is to find out who will suit you. Coming towards the article, some of my fellows and friends asked me the hottest question “What is the best way to crack English Essay & Precis Paper?” Although I have taken coaching from multiple academies, I hardly recommend academies to my friends, followers, and all other serious aspirants. (I have already explained, why I don’t recommend academies and support the stance of Shanza Faiq, CSS 2018 Topper). First of all, I must tell 2 things to my fellows which I have been taught by my mentor in a time of stress and extreme depression, “No academy, no person is here to attempt your paper in exam, during paper there are only 2 powers that manifest your success and future i.e. ALLAH, and You”. Trusting yourself and having complete faith in Allah Almighty, are the only available tools that decide your destination. We, who qualified PMS, or any other competitive exams are not born successful, we always make it through Smart Work.
