Deteriorate (verb) خراب ہونا، بگاڑنا

become progressively worse.
Example: “relations between the countries had deteriorated sharply”
Synonyms: worsen, get worse, decline, be in decline, degenerate, decay, collapse, fail, fall
Antonyms: improve


Reprieve (verb) مہلت، عارضی سکون، وقت آرام

cancel or postpone the punishment of (someone, especially someone condemned to death).
Example: “under the new regime, prisoners under sentence of death were reprieved”
Synonyms: grant a stay of execution to, pardon, spare, acquit, grant an amnesty to, amnesty
