6. King Charles heads to Kenya as calls for colonial apology grow

Britain`s King Charles III was heading to Kenya on Monday, his first visit as monarch to a Commonwealth nation, where he faces widespread calls for an apology for abuses committed during colonial rule.
`The King and Queen (Camilla) are on their way to Kenya for a four day visit which will take in the best of the country, from its young tech entrepreneurs and creatives to its beautiful forests and coastline, Buckingham Palace said on X, formerly Twitter

A mob overran an airport in Russia`s Caucasus republic of Dagestan on Sunday, after rumours spread that a flight was arriving from Israel.
However, on Monday Russia blamed `external interference` and singled out Ukraine for a riot in Dagestan. The governor of Dagestan promised that those responsible for the incident would be punished, and the republic`s interior ministry said later that 60 people had been arrested in the unrest

The latest crisis in the Middle East has raised geopolitical risks for commodity markets, but so far its impact on prices has been small, says a World Bank report released on Monday.
It said that previous military conflicts in the region often resulted in higher prices and vitality in commodity markets
