How to succeed in life keeping moral and ethical values in mind.

Success in broad terms is an accomplishment, an achieved goal or your main aim. Success holds different meanings to different people. To most people it is more important to succeed in life than be happy by it. Some think that it means working toward your dreams.

meaning of success

Why is it important to succeed in life?

Regardless of how you define success be it financial, political, psychological, physical or emotional_ the most important thing to know that success is important. Success endows confidence, security and sagacity of well-being. Without success the entire civilization would cease to survive. Triumph should never be reduced to something and doesn’t matter or is not significant.

Struggle is the key
  • Struggle:

Success generally comes with struggle. If a struggle is not involved then the achievement is of no use. We’ve probably heard so many people saying that they’ve struggled so hard to achieve the particular goal. An individual must fight hard enough to accomplish his/her target otherwise he/she will cease to exist.

Cute sayings that somehow send home the importance of success abound to be like, “Success is a journey not a destination”. Well they are not exactly the truth. Ehen your future is threatened; these cute little sayings will prove to be poor substitutions for success. No matter what goals you are trying to achieve, success and struggle is crucial.

“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger

What it feels like to be successful?

Living a successful life

There’s a certain, unexplainable feeling that comes with succeeding. Whether it’s passing the finish line in a race, getting an A on a paper/test, or even just impressing everyone at a talent show. The feeling is different for everyone, whether it’s a kind of euphoric feeling of butterflies in your stomach, or just smiling and not being able to express any other emotion than happiness. Everyone, at some point in their lives, has experienced success. There is something addictive about being successful. Take for example if you scored A grade in your class, then next year you’ll expect and want to achieve more than the previous year. Success has a drive for more. It’s something that you’ll crave more and more. If success is so much more difficult than just doing OK, why doesn’t everyone just do OK? The reason is because there is some innate, uncontrollable urge to impress others and also to further one’s own status among their peers.

There is a famous saying:

“Money can’t buy happiness”

Howard Hughes

Be happy

Well, I don’t think that happiness is something that can be bought. Happiness can lie in almost everything depending upon how you see things around yourself. It’s about seeing things from different perspective.

Can success and morality fits together in a same frame?

Always do the right thing

Morality means doing the right thing according to your moral and ethical standards. Being moral and ethical doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve success. But sometimes being too moral may also results in hindrance in your path. You’ll always have to be worried about should I do it or not, based on your moral values. God has given us that much strength and mind to think that what is right and what is wrong. If you think that such thing should be done, then do it. For some, life only gives you one chance, and you ought to do right by it. One wrong decision or mistake and you’ll ruin everything that you’ve worked so hard to build. Your reputation is your greatest asset. As you know from your own experience, when people talk about you in either positive or negative terms, and you find out about it, it has a major impact on your thinking and your emotions, either positive or negative.

To answer the question, Yes. Success and morality can fit together. They can go side by side, because your moral character is everything you have.

How to deal with issues regarding success?

Don’t let others define you

Every accomplishment brings out its own set of problems. People think that once they achieve their goals all of their problems will magically whoosh. In fact in reality once you stepped in your practical life, that’s when the issues began to appear. But one must not give up or feels discouraged by this. It is the part and parcel of life, and how you deal with problems is when your ability is being tested. Being in practical life needs a lot of tolerance and patience. You’ll have to face the issues very smartly.

  • Nothing is easy:

Every rising day will be a challenge and to face them is how you prove yourself.

Nothing comes easy in life

You cannot avoid them neither can you run away from them, because people will think it’s you who are at fault. To prove those scumbags wrong will show your ability and courage.

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue          that counts.”

Winston. S. Churchill.

People will tittle-tattle no matter even if you prove them wrong. If you are right, if you yourself knew that you’ve done the right thing then there must be no space for regret and guilt. Because nevertheless where ever you go in this world, issues like these will follow. These are the things that are made to hold you back from achieving your goals, from fulfilling your dreams. Know only one thing, that nothing is easy in this world, especially not success.

Stay positive

The truth is that problems are inevitable. They are good for us. They force us to stretch and grow.

Success isn’t just important, it is vital, and should never be reduced to anything less than vital. It is valuable, crucial and necessary for survival.

Placement of Women in our society | are Women oppressed or dominant?

What is Feminism?

Meaning of Feminism

Feminism is a literary movement of struggle, which endorses the set of ideologies and conviction systems. Feminists assert the equality between both sexes and the emancipation of oppressed women as an equal to men. The word ‘feminism’ can be a daunting and confusing word to some. Many people believe that feminism means hating men or wanting women to rule over everything– this could not be supplementary from the accuracy comas! Feminism simply means believing that men and women are equal, neither is better than the other and neither should be treated with more respect than the other – everyone should be equal on all levels, simple as that.

Why is Feminism important?

Importance of feminism

Feminism allows equal opportunities for both sexes. Gender roles (a set of conforming rules that say how a person should behave based on their gender) can be destructive to both men and women. The trendy belief is that women and girls are supposed to take care of the home while boys and men are meant to go out and supply for the family. Can you imagine not being allowed to go to school just because you’re a girl? Or being forced to stay at home and look after the house just because you’re a woman? This is the reality that many girls around the world face, even in this modern and urbanized era. Girls are not sent to school just because they are females and are not allowed to sustain the same rights and conveniences that boys hold. This implies the ideology of Patriarchy, means that women are innately inferior to men.

Even today when a woman gets pregnant, people anticipate and hope that it’s a baby boy. No one feels cheerfulness and joy on the birth of a baby girl. These are not biological but rather societal constructs. Feminists don’t deny the biological differences between men and women; but they don’t agree that how such differences as physical size, shape and body chemistry make men naturally superior to women.

What factors makes women inferior and submissive to men.

Submission of women

There are abundant factors which chip in to the inferiority and sedition of women in our society, but the foremost grounds are their women themselves have constructed their personalities as acquiescent and dependant on men. They have come to accept that they are good for nothing and therefore men have to look after them, be it their fathers, brothers or husbands. Submissive women their whole lives at first make themselves dependant on their fathers and then later in life on their husbands. They don’t even know the meaning of free sense of self, or how will it like to be free woman. Their personalities from the very start are skilfully constructed and they have been taught to internalize the societal norms. They have to deliver what society expects from them.

  • Effect of media:

Our media sadly is also showing the societal expectations from women, and under many circumstances they are oppressed to keep their mouths shut, no matter of how much pain she must be going through. Failures are expected from women, they’ll say: She couldn’t do it because she is a woman.

“Because I am a woman, I must make unusual effort to succeed. If I fail no one will say, “She doesn’t have what it take” in fact they’ll say, “A woman doesn’t have what it takes”.

Clare Bothe Luce.

On the other hand, Men are not permitted to fail at anything, because failure in any domain implies failure in one’s manhood.

To make this observable fact more lifelike, take the example of Disney’s renowned story Cinderella. It has been scrutinized that childhood stories like these make the young girls to live in the world of imagination and dystopia, because it equates femininity with submission, encouraging women to stomach abuse. Like Cinderella waits uncomplainingly for a man to come and rescue her, and view marriage as the only reward for “right” deportment. The character of Prince Charming which requires men to be wealthy rescuers of the poor beautiful girls is responsible to make their women happy.

“Women’s chains are forged my men, not by anatomy”

Jane Fonda.

The singular rationale of women now is to get married; they don’t try to build their career because at the end they thought it is of no use since they’ll get married someday. After marriage the purpose of women shifted to their husbands. They try so hard to please their husbands and other people sometimes out of inevitability, that they forget their own self-esteem and reverence, whereas men never make women their sole spotlight, he has millions of other things to worry about. He always spends most of his time working and earning money, because it is his responsibility alone. Women’s soaring education (if she gets any) becomes useless after marriage if she doesn’t put it out practically.

Sacrifice expected by women

It is only women who are told to make sacrifices and compromises, and in doing so they often settle for less then they warrant. Women have to be of specific age, colour and background to get a perfect match, while no such margins apply to men.

“Man endures pain as an underserved punishment, while women accepts it as a natural heritage”

Anonymous

Solution to the problems:

Well, I am not saying that all women in our society are oppressed and not enjoying equal right as men does, but rather some are. Some husbands are that much supportive that they not only let their wives to do jobs, but they also fight for their feminist rights, and very evidence itself proves that Feminism is not gender biased. It is an ideology. It is a belief system which works for some people and not others. If a man is doing a job, then a woman also could. If a man is an educated doctor than a woman can also achieve that. If a man rides a motorcycle than a woman can also do so. Nothing in this world is gender biased, it is us, this society and our slender minded thinking that has made the matters that much complicated.

Success of women is important

A woman should work, not because out of the need for money, but rather to keep herself busy and to focus her mind other than domestic issues. But nothing should be imposed on anyone, if she wants to, than she should do whatever she wants because no society and nation as a whole can progress without their women participating in every field of life.

Gender should not be the hindrance in success.

The imitation of Indian culture ____ its influences and downsides

What is a culture?

Culture is the features and familiarity of a exacting group of people, encircling language, religion, gastronomy, social habits, music and arts. Culture is the indistinguishable attachment which ties people jointly. It refers to the prototype of human activity. The art, literature, language, and religion of a society represent its culture. Our cultural values and beliefs evident themselves through our lifestyle. Our honourable values embody our culture. The importance of culture lies in its close involvement with the ways of thinking and living. Differences in cultures have led to miscellany in the people from different parts of the world.

Why culture is important?

It is known that humans have a basic psychological need for individual identity, which can be shown through sponsorship in distinct cultural groups. Hence, when a culture’s values, attitudes, and language become extinct, the result is a diminished sense of pride, dignity, and self-worth.

Culture is just about everything. The languages we speak, the way we dress, how we behave, the tools we use, the stories we listen to, how we are taught and raised. It determines our past, present and future.

So basically, culture is as old as the human empire itself and it determines and examines our very roots which demonstrates to which group and civilization we belong to.

How the dominant culture influences the weaker one.

Overriding culture is the one which overrides the main or aboriginal culture and its norms within a particular, social and political entity. In literary terms this occurrence is described as the post colonial complex, in which the culture of ruling class become dominant and the native becomes the lesser inferior. A culture is scrawny when its beliefs, behavioural rules, traditions, and sacraments are not apparent to its members or there is incongruence between stated values and conduct. This can happen for a variety of reasons. With no knowledge of what the association stands for or how things are actually done (rather than how policy indicates things should be done), weak cultures work against the sensation of an organization.

When a people spends certain amount of time outside of their relevant cultural atmosphere, their outlook  and the thoughtfulness of a native culture changes, because culture is something which you have to espouse when you are living in a particular country. Every country has its own cultural norms, traditions and ethical values.

The influence of Indian culture on Pakistan.

There is a long long history between Pakistan and India to begin with, and one would not like to delve into it gratuitously. As Pakistan and India used to be a one big subcontinent in which the people of nearly every religion lived together in a same native soil. Living in the same environment also comes with adopting each other’s tribal and cultural norms and traditions. Since Indians were in mainstream in subcontinent and the government itself belongs to them that is why Indian culture profoundly dominates the other weaker cultures, which later happen to be the Pakistani culture. Pakistani culture is deeply implanted and largely opinionated by rather dominant ethnicity; like America and India at the most.

The superior cultures are not actually superior in themselves but rather it is mainly the conclusion of our own accepted wisdom and reception. The thing is we have made up our minds as a complex and inferior civilization which needs to be dominated by others. As a result, our culture has become the Hybrid culture, means it is now the grouping of Pakistani, Indian and many other cultures altogether.

Media have a monstrous power nowadays. Through it any culture and community can widespread the propaganda of their own and very slowly and discreetly the other civilizations are overwhelming us and we aren’t even realizing it.

This starts very shrewdly through cartoons which children watch, as a first step to make them duplicate the language, customs and values of any other culture but their own. People will watch what the authorities and the media will make them watch. Wars today are not fought by canons, swords and guns but rather through media and the resources, especially by influencing the other cultures.

Pakistani film industry miserably is also imitating and bootlegging the conventional patterns of Indian filmmaking. Take for example the must inclusion of item song, the amorous dances between couples, a must sad song and also a useless action which doesn’t make sense at all. Our exalted actors and filmmakers are going to Bollywood and Hollywood because they think and not only they but we’ve also come to think that Superior cultures’ everything is better than ours. I am not against movies but I think that every community should make films based on their and their very own concepts without stealing anything from any source, which should reflect the gorgeous peep of one’s native culture.

How to cope up with the indigenous culture without any foreign influence?

Well, every culture is the very individuality of one’s country and community. The dominant Indian and other cultures have that much entrenched in us that it is almost impossible to obliterate the prejudices of superior culture. We can however find the ways to trim down its influences upon us slowly and gradually. Well, what did they say, you cannot make heaven overnight.

If every one of us now promises and make up our mind then no nation can dominate us. Allah has made us that strong, if only one also believe in that.

The Ever Changing Trends of Fashion By: Fizra Sattar

What is fashion?

What is fashion

Fashion by classification is an exclusive admired approach in array of things like outfits, footwear, cosmetics, hairdo and décor etc. It is somewhat we come across every single day. Even the people who say they don’t care about what they’ll wear select clothes that say a lot about them. It’s a personal maxim when a person wears something extraordinary out of the ordinary; others ask him/her if there is a fastidious motive for that. Each day we go a little touché of what we’ll be wearing every day, and it doesn’t matter whether we’ll be doing that in homes or before going out.

Why people made a big deal out of fashion?
