6. Taliban create bonfire of music equipment
• Authorities from Afghanistan`s vice ministry created a bonfire of confiscated musical instruments and equipment in Herat province at the weekend, deeming music immoral.
• `Promoting music causes moral corruption and playing it will cause the youth to go astray, said Aziz al-Rahman al Muhajir, head of the Herat department of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.

7. Former Indian army chief blames China for Manipur violence
• Former Indian Army chief Gen (retd) M. M. Naravane has said that foreign interference in the Manipur violence cannot be ruled out and is `definitely there,` stressing that alleged Chinese aid to various insurgent groups has been continuing for many years.

8. Israel plans $27bn rail expansion

10. Muslim woman assaulted in India
• A Muslim woman was assaulted and molested by a group of men in Ujjain city of India`s Madhya Pradesh state, according to local media reports.
• The woman, a physiotherapist by profession, was on her way home on Friday when the suspects tried to molest her. When she resisted, the men started beating her, according to a local newspaper, The Free Press fourmal her cousin, who came to her rescue, was also beaten. A video of the incident shared on social media showed men hitting him with iron rods and bats.
