1. American statements detrimental to Pak-US relationship: cabinet
   • The federal cabinet observed that recent statements by the American leadership were detrimental to the Pakistan-US relationship that had developed over generations
   • The cabinet unanimously endorsed the stance of the NSC which had expressed deep disappointment over the statements of the US leadership
2. SC to focus on human rights cases this year
   • Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar outlined the Supreme Court`s agenda for 2018 and said the court would be focusing on human rights issues

5. NLC to build new border terminal at Angoor Adda

6. India limits visitors to save Taj Mahal
   • India is to restrict the number of daily visitors to the Taj Mahal in an attempt to preserve the iconic 17th-century monument to love, its biggest tourist attraction
   • In future only 40,000 local tourists will be allowed to enter the historic complex per day
   • The restrictions will not apply to foreigners
   • The Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a tomb for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth in 1631
7. Norway suspends arms sales to UAE over Yemen war
   • Norway has suspended exports of weapons and ammunition to the United Arab Emirates over concerns they could be used in the war in Yemen
   • The UAE is part of a Saudi-led coalition formed in 2015 to fight the Iranaligned Houthi group that controls most of northern Yemen and the capital Sanaa

   • The US State Department has said that Pakistan needs to earn the money it gets from Washington while the White House warned that President Donald Trump can follow through his pledge to stop US assistance to Pakistan if it does not change its Afghan policy
