  1. 10 security men martyred in Quetta
    • Three suicide bombers attacked the police and other security officials in Quetta, in two different attacks, on April 24, 2018, resulting in the martyrdom of 10 policemen and injuries to another 15. The IG Balochistan expressed the likelihood of all the attacks being closely coordinated.
    • In the first incident, a suicide bomber drove his motorcycle into a police truck, on a road leading to the airport, due to which seven policemen embraced martyrdom

  2. ‘Be Cautious’ campaign launched in Abu Dhabi
    • The Abu Dhabi police have launched a campaign “Be Cautious” to create the awareness among residents of United Arab Emirates (UAE) about fraud messages on social media application such as WhatsApp.
    • The Abu Dhabi Police warned that there were fraud messages on social media applications, such as WhatsApp, which imitate trademarks and trusted websites, with the aim of stealing personal information, such as usernames, passwords, credit card numbers and others that may lead to problems for users.
    • The General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police has begun publishing stories of phone fraud victims on its social media platforms, as well as broadcasting videos and awareness messages in Arabic, English, Urdu and Filipino.
